Basic Beading

Learn to make bracelets, necklaces, and earrings.  Make your own jewelry for yourself or as gifts.  The focus is flexible wire bracelets and crimping.  You will have hands-on practice to learn to wire wrap.  You will leave with a complete bracelet and pair of earrings that reflect your own personal style . . . and with lots and lots of ideas!!!

Beading: Basic Wire Working

You will work with beads, wire, and simple tools to learn how to make a variety of embellishments that will provide you with endless creative possibilities.  You will learn a basic charm wrapping technique to attach beads to chains to make a long necklace.  You will leave with a long necklace that is classy and very much in style now. Other projects you could do with this technique could be chandelier earrings, rosaries, chain necklaces, eyeglass holders, and more.

Want to scrap but just don’t know where to begin? Join the beginning scrapbooking class and learn photo sorting techniques, cropping, basic page layouts, card making, and more. Printmaking

This course will introduce participants to the art of relief printmaking while making functional holiday cards. Students will work learn how to plan and prep a print, using divergent thinking skills. After planning the composition, the drawing will be transferred to a linoleum block, then areas of the block will be cut out. What is left acts as a large stamp that can be run through a press and printed an unlimited number of times. Class limit 8. Participants must be 16 or older and be willing to follow strict safety rules and cooperate with others.

Puppet Shows

"Three Little Pigs" This fun show for three-year-olds and up is based on the traditional tale about three young pigs who leave home to seek their fortune. A happy ending is guaranteed, except for the wolf. In December, we will have a special holiday show for three-year-olds and up.

Tap Lessons

Dynamic will be holding a tap class for various ages after Labor Day.  We will be in the 902 Redwood Blvd studio until late September, then will be relocating into the new facility. Ages 13 & up- Mondays, 9:00-9:45 pm (This time could change slightly to be earlier depending upon registration.) Tuition is $45 per month for each student.

Wheel Thrown Pottery

This course will give participants the essential skills required to create ceramic forms on the potter’s wheel.  Wedging, centering, vessel formation, trimming, and glazing will be covered in this class.  Participants will be provided with secure storage areas, 50 pounds of clay, clay tools, and a variety of glaze options.  All pieces created will be bisque fired and glaze fired. Class limit 6. Class will be repeated again in February with an intermediate course in April. Participants need to be 16 or older, be able to lift 50 pounds, and weigh at least 85 pounds.

Cardio Circuit

The perfect workout for both men and women. This class offers both cardio and strength training. Beginning with a group warm-up and stretch, this intense 45 minute workout moves along with alternating 1 minute stops at stations that will get your heart pumping and muscles reacting. We come together at the end for a group stretch and cool-down.

Coffee Cupping

Enjoy wonderful tastes of coffee from Ethiopia, Brazil, and Guatemala by experiencing a coffee “cupping”.  Cupping is a special way to taste and evaluate different characteristics of a particular coffee bean.  Students will be amazed at the different flavors of coffee from different countries even though the type of roast is the same. This class will give a brief overview of the life of a coffee bean (which will make you appreciate that morning cup of coffee even more) and end with a cupping of various coffees.  Coffee and non-coffee drinkers alike will find this class enlightening and enjoyable as they “slurp” the coffee.  As and added bonus, each participant will take home a fresh roasted half  pound of coffee.

Pilates

Pilates incorporates holistic health and fitness into a workout experience that can be enjoyed by everyone. The exercises emphasize core strength, breathing, flexibility, and stretching. Yoga: Parent and Child

Children ages 2 and up. A one hour class, where parent and child can deepen their bond (partner poses) while developing strength, improving balance, focus, and relaxation with their own experience of yoga poses and breath exercises. The class offers a lively rhythm, using tools of imagination and concentration to adapt the yoga poses to the realm of the spirit of children, integrating breath, movement, and yoga fundamentals so that both parent and child benefit. This class is also a great toolbox for parent to take home and keep using what the practice offers in their daily interactions with their children.

Basic Computing for the Computer Illiterate

This class teaches the basics of computers to novices. It is designed for the computer laymen to get an idea of what happens inside the computer so that they know how it works, understand what it takes to upgrade hardware, and basic use of the computer. Computers 101

Are you afraid to dive into the World Wide Web? Want to learn to email the kids and grandkids? We will start with the basics and work into checking email, searching for websites, and shopping.  We'll also learn how to print documents and write letters online. This class is hands on. Classes will be held at night, and open computer labs will be held Saturday mornings.

Medford Outlets/Mall of America/IKEA

We are adding in a 2 hour stop at Medford Outlets on the way to the Mall of America. And don't forget IKEA is right behind the MOA! Walkways are clearly marked from the mall to the huge IKEA store. You and your friends will have the day to explore the hundreds of specialty shops, huge department stores, and wonderful spots to stop for a little refreshment.  A continental breakfast and a comfortable coach ride (including movies!) are included. Space fills quickly, so get signed up early.  An itinerary will be mailed to you upon registration.

Early bird fee of $45.00 will be honored for those who register before Oct. 15th.  A minimum of 35 people is needed in order for the bus to go, so make sure to tell your friends to sign up!
